Who We Are…

Brevard Title is an independent title insurance agency owned by 20 Brevard County residents who are long-time business owners, entrepreneurs, bankers and real estate agents in the area. Brevard Title is an exclusive title agent for Alliant National Insurance Title Company, a premier national title underwriter.

Included in the ownership group of Brevard Title are 4 Past Chairs of the Melbourne Regional Chamber of East Central Florida, 2 Members of the Junior Achievement Hall of Fame, 2 Past Chairs of the Community Foundation for Brevard, and 4 experienced / successful real estate agents. This group also holds leadership positions in numerous other civic / community / cultural organizations in Brevard County.


Joel Boyd is the President and Legal Counsel of Brevard Title in charge of the management and operation of the company, with excellent support from an experienced and well-trained staff.

Since 1978, Mr. Boyd has practiced law in Brevard County in the areas of real estate transactions, estate planning, business transactions, and tax planning and he has been the Managing Partner of the Boyd and Marks Law Firm since 2001. In addition, Mr. Boyd also served for many years as a Director, Legal Counsel, and Audit Committee Chair for both Reliance Bank of Florida and Sunrise Bank.

Mr. Boyd received his undergraduate degree from Duke University (with honors) and both his law degree (with honors) and master of laws (in taxation) from the University of Florida, College of Law. In 2000, he received the highest “AV” preeminent rating from the Martindale-Hubbell legal rating service.

Brevard Title is an exclusive agent of Alliant National Title Insurance Company and has been certified by Alliant National as an Authorized Service Provider which is the title insurance industry’s highest level of quality assurance available to lenders and property owners.

In addition to providing the systems for oversight of our agents, Alliant National provides security and strength to the real estate transactions it insures. The reinsurance partners have surpluses of approximately five times larger and financial stability ratings higher than any underwriter in the title industry. Alliant National provides the added strength of a $5 million Financial Institutions Bond covering our agents’ transactions. All things considered, no title insurer can offer better protection to its insureds.
